Presbytery of Northern New England 27 Lowell Street, Suite #407 Manchester, NH 03101 603-629-9900 From the South: Take the Everett Turnpike north. As you approach Manchester, it turns into I-293 for awhile – just stay straight, headed north. Soon after it turns into I-293 N, watch for Exit 5 – Granite Street exit. Turn right at light at end of ramp onto Granite Street. This brings you across the river. After a few lights, you’ll be turning left onto Elm Street (the Verizon Wireless Arena is on the far right corner). After you turn left onto Elm Street, go through a few traffic lights. As you approach the tall black building on the left side of the street, start watching for Lowell Street, which is the first RIGHT turn AFTER that black building. See directions for Once on Lowell Street, below. From the North: Take I-293 South. Take Exit 6. As you get off the exit, bear to the right, and merge into the traffic circle. You’ll take the first fork that you can take off the traffic circle. You’ll be following the signs for Elm Street. You will cross over the river. The next traffic light is Elm Street. Take a right. Go through several lights. Bridge Street will be a large intersection with a light. Once you go across that intersection, get in the left turn lane to go left onto Lowell Street. See directions for Once on Lowell Street, below. From the East: Take 101 West to 93 North. Take Exit #8. At the end of the ramp, turn right, “West to Manchester” onto Bridge Street. From the north: Take route 89 south and get off on rt. 114 south. When 114 intersects 202 and 9, outside of Henniker, take the first exit toward Hillsboro. Follow 202 into Antrim. From the southeast: Take route 101a west until it intersects route 101. Follow rt. 101 west to Wilton. At Wilton, take rt. 31 north, following signs to Crotched Mountain. Pass Crotched Mountain Rehab and follow rt. 31 all the way into Antrim. From the south: Take rt. 202 north out of Peterborough and follow it all the way into Antrim. From the west: Out of Keene, take rt. 9 east toward Hillsboro and turn south on rt. 31 when you enter Antrim. Rt. 31 will take you to the center of town. North or South on I-89: Take exit 7 (Berlin-Barre) and continue through three sets of traffic lights. At the third set, continue straight on the Barre (not toward Montpelier) beltline and through two sets of lights. At the second light, at the intersection of Main and Maple Ave. (next to the Pierre Motel), take a right and then take the second left at Seminary Street. South from the St. Johnsbury area: Take Rt. 2 to East Montpelier where there is the junction of Rt. 2 and 14. Take a left up over the bridge on Rt. 14. Continue on Rt. 14 past the Hope Cemetery. After the entrance to the cemetery, bear right (not using a left fork) and then take the left at the next fork. Continue on Maple Ave. and take the third left onto Summer Street. Two blocks along Summer St., the green church building is on the right far corner. If you are approaching Barre on Rt. 302: Continue on this route straight through the intersection in East Barre and past the Dugout Restaurant. This route leads right into Barre, down Washington St. At the park (with the Aldrich Library on your right), continue through the lights (North on Rt. 302) through the main part of Barre and just past the Dunkin Donuts, turn right on Seminary Street (at the sign for the Barre Civic Center). Bedford Presbyterian Church is located at 4 Church Road, Bedford, New Hampshire. Bedford is a town bordering southwest Manchester. From Maine: Take Route 101 West at Portsmouth From Haverhill area: Take Route 93 North to pick up 101 West From Lowell: Take Route 3 North to 101 West From Vermont: Take 93 South to Route 293S and then get onto 101 West Continue from above Just one mile west of the Merrimack river, you will come to a traffic light, where you will turn left. (This is still route 101 .') Go one more mile to the second traffic light (Meeting House Road). Turn right onto Meetinghouse Road. Head up the hill and you will find Church Road on your right. The Bedford Church is on your left. Plenty of parking in the back of the church.

Christ Church is located on the Redstone Campus of UVM, right behind the Water Tower. Traveling East on Main Street (Route 2): turn right onto South Prospect Street. From Interstate 89: take Exit 14 onto Williston Road headed West, toward Burlington. Turn left onto South Prospect Street. On Burlington Bus Line: Take the 8:45 from Cherry Street to the U-Mall/Airport and get off at Prospect Street. (This is the closest the bus will go on Sunday mornings, so you will have a nice Sunday walk.) Continue on South Prospect until you reach the second stop sign. Just past the stop sign, on your left, will be the entrance to the UVM Redstone Campus. (Look for the white CCP sign.) Turn left . This is a circular drive. When you are 2/3 around the circle the road t's. Turn to your right. (Again, look for the white CCP sign.) Follow the drive past the green water tower and around a circular brick building. Take I-89 or I-93 to I-91 north. Get off at the St. Johnsbury exit #21 and proceed west on US route 2 to West Danville. Bear right to get on Route 15 west to Hardwick. Stay on Route 15 through Hardwick (past the Grand Union and the Ford dealership) to Route 14 north. Turn right on Route 14 and go north for about 7 1/2 miles. Turn right at the road marked for Craftsbury and East Craftsbury. Proceed for almost a mile to the first paved road on the right. Turn right and go up the steep hill and East Crafsbury is the first village you will come to. The church is brown and on the left. from Maine: Take Route 2 through New Hampshire and St. Johnsbury, VT. From points south: Take I-95 through the southeastern corner of NH into Maine. In Maine, I-95 becomes the Maine Turnpike. Follow the Maine Turnpike to Exit 75 (old exit 12), Auburn, and follow Rte. 4 north through Auburn and on to the center of downtown Farmington (there's a stop light). From the center of Farmington go north on Route 4 for two and one half miles til you see a small white church on your right. From Central and Northern NH: Take I-93 or whichever road gets you most quickly to Route 2 east. Take Route 2 east bypassing Bethel, Maine, going through Rumford, ME, and on to Route 3 into the center of Farmington. From the center of Farmington go north on Route 4, two and one half miles until you see a small white church on your right. From Vermont: Take I-91 to the vicinity of St. Johnsbury, where you can pick up Route 2 east. Follow directions as listed above from Central and Northern NH.Map

From Massachusetts/New Hampshire: Take Rt. 89 to exit 6 (Barre), take right off of exit, exit automatically goes to the right. Drive straight through the intersection of Graniteville (about 6 miles). From Maine: Take Rt. 2. Drive through St. Johnsbury. Go approximately 30-35 miles, until you reach Rt. 14 in East Montpelier. Take left hand turn at Rt. 14. Drive straight through Barre on Rt. 14. (Rt. 14 is also Rt. 302, which goes through Barre. 302 becomes 14 again after Barre.) Drive to the right of the Universalist Church. Go straight 1 mile into the intersection of Graniteville. From the south: Take I-95 (Maine Turnpike north). Near Portland stay on the Maine Turnpike for about 23 miles . Get off the turnpike at exit 75 (old exit 12), Auburn. Turn left at stop light at end of exit ramp. You will be on route 4 North, and route 202 East. Follow this road about 20 miles until you come to the intersection with Rte. 219. Turn left onto Rte. 219 West, in North Turner. Follow Rte. 219 approx. 5 miles or so. When you find you are going around a pond, you will pass a few other streets along the way and then you will see Church St.. Turn right onto Church St. and follow a short distance to the church on the right side. (If you go back down the other side of the hill, you have passed the church). From the north: Heading south on Route 26 through Bethel, turn left onto Route 219. Rte. 219 will take you through the town of Hartford. Take your best route to route 495 north; take exit 50. Turn right onto route 97. Your first right, which is almost immediately after leaving the exit ramp, is Carlton St. The church will be on your left (corner of Broadway and Carlton). Parking available. (For those traveling south through Manchester, NH, the best route is to pick up I-93 and get off Exit 1 which puts you on Rte. 213 headed east. Follow this until it meets up with I-495 north, and follow the about directions.) From Maine: Take your best route to 495 south; take exit 50. Turn left at end of exit ramp on to route 97. You will be on the overpass over 495. Watch for yellow house on right with attached large yellow barn. Take immediate right after passing yellow house. (Carlton Street). From New Hampshire and Vermont: Route I-93 South to Route 213 in Methuen (1st MA exit). Take Pleasant/Howe St. exit, # 3) and then a left off the exit ramp. Take a right at lights onto Jackson Street. Continue on to 3rd set of traffic lights and turn left onto Berkeley Street. Bear left at the triangle with a very small fountain/sprinkler onto East Haverhill Street. The church is ½ block on your left. From Maine: Route 495 South to Merrimack St/Pleasant Valley Exit. Go straight across Route 110 to Merrimack Street and continue for approx. 1 1/2 miles, keeping to the right of the fork (about midway). Merrimack St. becomes East Haverhill St. at the Methuen/Lawrence line. The church is on your right, 1/2 block after intersection of Prospect and East Haverhill Streets (yellow blinker). From Lowell: Route 495 North to Marston/Downtown Lawrence exit. While exiting, look for the hospital signs and follow them. (Marston St. becomes Prospect St.) Keeping Lawrence General Hospital on your left, continue on Prospect Street and proceed to the first stop light. [You will go past Haverhill Street, made sure you don't take this.] Turn left at this corner of Prospect and East Haverhill Streets. The church is 1/2 block on your right. [If you happen to take a left onto Haverhill Street, take a right at the lights at Newbury Street and proceed about a half mile bearing to right at fork in road. From the south: Take I-95 (Maine Turnpike north). Near Portland continue north
on the Maine Turnpike. Turn right with route 202 (Court Street) and follow it across the bridge and through Lewiston (you will now be on Main Street in Lewiston). In a brief time you will go through the town of Greene. Just beyond the Springbrook Golf Course, turn left on to route 106 (about 12 miles out from Lewiston). Go about six miles on route 106. You will pass the school on the right and the Leeds Center Variety convenience Store. Just beyond the convenience store, turn left onto Church Hill Road. (If you go past Buckley Farm, you have gone too far.) The church is half mile up Church Hill Road at the top of the hill. Small parking lot on right at the church. From south: Take Route 3 north to Route 101A in Nashua (exit 7, west). Follow Route 101A to the Milford oval. At the oval, take Route 13 north; go through Mount Vernon into New Boston. Drive by Molly Stark Tavern and take a right at the next intersection. The church is on the right. From north: Take I93 south. At Manchester, bear right onto Route 293 From Maine: Take 95 south to Route 101 west. Go until you get to Manchester. You'll have to go either north or south on Route 93, go south. Soon after, you'll want to bear right onto Route 293 Stay on 293 for about five minutes and it turns into route 101 again. Soon after, there is a big intersection (big power lines within sight). Go straight through the lights (101 goes left, you don't want that) and you'll be on Route 114. Stay on Route 114 until you have to turn left at a set of lights (Route 114/Mast Road). You'll know you're headed in the right direction because just after the turn you'll see the NH Prison for Women on your right. Go through Goffstown, and stay on Route 114 for another four or five miles. You'll see a sign for New Boston "7 miles." Go left there. Within seven miles the church will be right in front of you. Turn left and then right at the Store. The church is located behind Morton's Store at the corner of Hancock Pond Road and Church Street. (Look for greeters to direct you to No. New Portland Church.) From the West: Take Rt. 2 East to Farmington and then follow directions from Farmington. From the East: Take I-95 to Newport Exit. Follow Rt. 2 to Norridgewock Take Rt. 201 A North to North Anson. From the South on the Maine turnpike (Rt. 95) North to Exit 44 onto Rt. 295. Stay on 295 through Portland continuing north to the Topsham/Lisbon exit #31. This will be approximately 10 miles from Barre. The store is fairly new and has gas pumps outside. It is the only exit off Route 25 on the left. Take this left and go straight into Topsham (about 5 miles). You will meet a red brick house which appears to be in the middle of the road. Take a right and you will be able to see the church. This is a dirt road. Coming from I-91: If coming from I-91, pick up Rte. 25 in Bradford. Travel west approximately 8 miles until you see the General Store on the corner on the right hand side of the road. It is a fairly new store and has gas pumps outside. Take this right and go straight into Topsham (about 5 miles). You will meet a red brick house which appears to be in the middle of the road. Take a right and you will be able to see the church. Take I-95 to Exit 86. This is Hwy 9 towards Lewiston. Stay on Hwy 9 for about 1.5 miles and Hwy 126 joins at an intersection, make a right turn. Go about .8 mile to Hwy 132 and turn left. The church is about 4.2 miles on the left. OR Take Route 126 in Lewiston (at Masonic Temple opposite Central Maine Medical Center). Continue 5 to 6 miles to Route 132. Turn left. Go 5 miles to Wales Church. FROM VERMONT: Take Route 2 to Route 26 in Bethel, Maine. Proceed to Route 219 at Trapp Corner, West Paris. Turn left on Rte. 219. Take Rte. 219 to Route 106 in Leeds. From Vermont: Follow Rt. 2 into Farmington, ME. From Massachusetts or Southern New Hampshire: Take I-95 in Maine to exit 12 (Auburn). Follow Rt. 4 into Farmington, ME. ALL FROM FARMINGTON CENTER: In the center of town at the light, go right onto Rt. 43 East. Follow for about 6 miles and take a left onto 148. From 93 Take NH exit 3. Go left off the exit ramp heading west on Route 111 Go 1 1/2 to 2 miles on Route 111 Immediately past two small shopping centers in a row, take a right onto Church Road Parking is available in front of the Parish Hall and across the road from the church. Map
From New Hampshire and Vermont: Route I-93 South to Route 213 in Methuen (1st Mass. Exit). Take Pleasant/Howe St. exit, #3, and then a left off the exit ramp. Take a right at lights onto Jackson St. Continue on to 3rd set of traffic lights and turn left onto Berkeley St. Bear left at the triangle with a very small fountain/sprinkler onto East. Haverhill ST. The church is ½ block on your left. From Maine: Route 495 South to Merrimack St/Pleasant Valley Exit. Go straight across Route 110 to Merrimack St. and continue for approx. 1 ½ miles, keeping to the right of the fork (about midway). Merrimack St. becomes East Haverhill St. at the Methuen/Lawrence line. The church is on your right, ½ block after intersection of Prospect and East Haverhill Streets (yellow blinker). From Lowell: Route 495 North to Marston/Downtown Lawrence exit. While exiting, look for the hospital signs and follow them. (Marston St. becomes Prospect St.) Keeping Lawrence General Hospital on your left, continue on Prospect Street and proceed to the first stop light. [You will go past “Haverhill St.,” make sure you don’t take this.] Turn left at this corner of Prospect and East Haverhill Streets. The church is ½ block on your right. [If you happen to take a left onto Haverhill St., take a right at the lights at Newbury St. and proceed about a half mile bearing to right at fork in road.
