Susan Lynn Gleason is celebrating her 10th year of ordination as a minister of the Word and Sacrament. She has served as a solo pastor at the Presbyterian Church (USA) in Clinton, and as Associate Pastor here in Haverhill. Prior to her ordination, she was our Director of Christian Education and served as student intern. She holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Skidmore College.
Pastor Susan is an avid writer whose work has appeared in such publications as AliveNow magazine, the online edition of Preaching magazine, and the Presbyterian Church’s Call to Worship. One of her liturgical dramas, “What Changed?” was published by Contemporary Drama Service and has been performed in several churches.
Susan has served on various presbytery and synod committees including the Presbytery Partnership Group, the Committee on Preparation for the Ministry, a Synod of the Northeast Grants Committee and an Investigative Commission. She helps lead an annual Women’s Healing Retreat for the Presbyterian Women, Synod of the Northeast.
Pastor Susan is the wife of Charles Monroe. They recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Together they enjoy songwriting and have composed for, and performed with, a number of Praise Teams. They are the parents of three grown children, Rachel, Emily and Colin.
