Pastor's Notes
Our pastor is Rick Ness, CLP.
Excerpt from his Summer 2010 newsletter article
:"When we think about the mission of the church trips to far away lands, people with great and obvious need often come to mind. But every day ordinary people are doing ordinary things to complete God’s work in ordinary ways. I recently was listening to someone speak about some urban renewal projects in some larger cities. One point that was raised is: what makes up a city? Is it the buildings or the people? A city large or small or any community is made up of the people who inhabit it. So too is the church made up of the people in it. The mission is what they are called to do in their communities as well as the world. The Bible offers many stories of how God’s work is accomplished through people from all walks of life. Many people are familiar with the story of the Good Samaritan. The Church really is a group of people that have heard Jesus’s call: "go and do likewise" Lk10:37"
